A video of a 14-year old Dolly Parton performing in a gas station parking lot in Tennessee has surfaced and it’s pure nostalgia.
This video was captured in 1961 by Haroldine Worthington and was filmed on a silent 8-mm home movie camera. In the video, you can see her strumming a guitar in a gas station parking lot in Fountain City, Tennessee.
The footage is accompanied by a studio recording of Dolly singing “Making Believe,” a chart-topping hit for Kitty Wells in 1955.
