Austin City Limits has announced the lineup for the first part of its 50th broadcast season. ACL returns on Saturday, September 28th at 8 pm ET , featuring singer-songwriter Kacey Musgraves. This year marks fifty years since Willie Nelson taped the pilot for Austin City Limits.
Produced by Austin PBS and recorded live at ACL’s studio home ACL Live in Austin, Texas, the program airs weekly on PBS stations and streams online immediately following the initial broadcast. Chris Stapleton, Juanes, Gary Clark Jr., Brittany Howard, Nickel Creek, Black Pumas, Maggie Rogers, and The War And Treaty will also return to the program this season, while Gracie Abrams, Jelly Roll, and Jacob Collier make their ACL debuts. The complete line-up for the full 14-week season, including seven new episodes to air beginning January 2025, will be announced later.
ACL executive producer Terry Lickona said in a statement: “We are beyond proud to celebrate such a milestone in ACL’s growth and evolution. The talent for the first half of the season is testament itself to what defines Austin City Limits – an eclectic mix of authentic, original music captured in an intimate setting and shared worldwide.
